Representation of isometric torque measuring device used for dorsiflexion torque measurement in mice. The torque motor records torque and can induce movement. The foot plate is used to secure the foot and align it with the motor axis of rotation. The location and orientation of the tibialis anterior (TA) is shown in schematic form and stimulating electrodes placed near the TA are used to induce muscle contraction.
