Custom made benchtop laser diffraction setup. This device is used to measure sarcomere lengths in fixed and mounted tissue. and is used in all of our muscle architecture studies. The inset picture (lower right) demonstrates the diffraction pattern seen when the laser light passes through a sample of muscle.
