Research Cores

The NSMRC strives to equip rehabilitation medicine professionals with the necessary tools to study muscle in the context of clinical problems and in attracting excellent scientists to study skeletal muscle in a rehabilitation context. The NSMRC consists of four research core units that cross three departmental boundaries and two schools within the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). The core units are: Muscle Histology, Muscle Biomechanics, Muscle Imaging, and Muscle Metabolism.
