An equation describing the intensity of laser light as a function of scattering angle based on theory provided the Yeh, et al. in 1980. In this theory, sarcomere periodicity and myofibrillar periodicity both contribute to intensity. The constant term at the beginning of the equation represents the intensity of light scattered from a cylinder.
