Non-invasive measurement of tissue perfusion using Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) showing variations in perfusion in two normal human subjects (top and bottom) during (left) and without (right) exercise. The ASL method magnetically tags blood which is subsequently imaged, allowing for the quantitative assessment of both the amount of perfusion and its heterogeneity.
