The Imaging core of the National Skeletal Muscle Research Center (NSMRC) performs both animal and human imaging studies.  This core is designed to provide access to imaging hardware, pulse sequence development, software development, and post-acquisition data processing expertise. Although skeletal muscle is one area of expertise, there are a number of structural and physiologic imaging areas that could be explored by interested scientists.

1) 2- 3 Tesla GE short bore magnetic resonance imaging systems (Human).

2) 1- 7 Tesla 22cm magnetic resonance imaging system (rodent / small animal).

3) Machine and electronics shop for coil development and hardware fabrication

4) Computer lab for post-acquisition processing
